Description- Oxford House provides safe, supportive, drug-and-alcohol-free homes where men and women in recovery can continue building stable lives alongside their peers. Oxford Houses are located throughout Kentucky and are democratically run, self-supporting, and peer-led by the members living in the home. We have over 4300 houses across the nation and started in 1975.

Services offered: We are not a business. We provide men and women in recovery with a safe, drug- and alcohol free home where they can navigate real-life challenges together through peer support, accountability, shared responsibility, and leadership.

How long have we been in the community? We have been in Hopkinsville for almost 5 years; the first house opened was Oxford House Amaka.

What makes Oxford House unique

An Oxford House is not operated like a traditional business, treatment facility, or sober living- it operates as a home. Each house is democratically and peer-run by the members who live there. Members share the responsibility for the household and its expenses. All the money members contribute toward household expenses stays with the household to pay its bills and support the home’s operation.

Anything else like to tell the followers- We believe in giving people the opportunity to rebuild their lives in a home built in peer support, accountability, equality, and the belief that recovery grows stronger when we do it together
