Houses of Hope sober living home for women

In 2018, God opened a door that neither my wife nor I could have imagined.
What began with my own recovery journey grew into Breakthrough Recovery & Support Group, then into our nonprofit, Help On Hand Inc., with a vision to serve those who were hurting, homeless, and searching for hope.
From there, God continued to expand the ministry.
We opened our first Houses of Hope sober living home for women, and over time that grew into two men’s recovery homes, allowing us to serve up to 35 individuals at a time.
Today, that vision has grown far beyond housing. Through Help On Hand Inc. we provide:
• Faith-based recovery support
• Transitional housing
• Food pantry
• Clothing closet
• Job training and life skills
• Construction and work opportunities
• Community outreach
• Mentoring and discipleship
• And many other resources to help people rebuild their lives.
This ministry has required countless hours, difficult decisions, sacrifice, prayer, and unwavering faith. Like any work worth doing, there have been challenges along the way. But through every victory and every obstacle, God has remained faithful.
Our mission has never been simply to help people get sober. Our desire is to see lives completely transformed through Jesus Christ.
We believe recovery is about restoring hope, rebuilding character, learning responsibility, strengthening families, serving others, and discovering God’s purpose for your life.
We are far from perfect, and we’re still learning and growing every day. But we are thankful for every volunteer, donor, church, community partner, supporter, and every person who has walked this journey with us.
Most of all, we give all the glory to God. Without His grace, none of this would be possible.
