First, thank you for the support as we continue our passion of serving the recovery community throughout Kalamazoo and the surrounding areas of southwest Michigan. There is a dire need for recovery support and Reach continues to progress and diversify its offerings and we couldn’t continue our work without the support of friends and partners like you.

We bring you many exciting updates.

Reach Sober Living Office

We are happy to announce that Reach has opened an office to house all operations. Visit us at 2047 West Main Street in Kalamazoo. We feel this is an ideal space and we will enjoy its centralized location.

The Villas at Engleman

The Reach Sober Living home on Engleman will welcome new neighbors as we will soon break ground on The Villas at Engleman. The Villas will house men in long-term recovery for a 12-month stay as they integrate back into society. This property will offer four, one-bedroom apartments for independent living; however, Reach staff will provide varied services to its residents as they continue their sober journeys.

The Thompson House

Another residential endeavor that we look forward to is The Thompson House. Research has shown that a key component to successful recovery is the restoring of families. While development plans are still in infancy, The Thompson House will provide a safe environment for two families in recovery, allowing them to stay together in a two-to-three-year lease. The property will be a duplex, each home offering three bedrooms and one and a half baths.

Coming Soon: New Sober Living Homes

While locations have not been announced, Reach is also working hard to open two sober living homes for men in Kalamazoo. We recognize the need and plan to answer the call by opening these sober homes by the end of 2023. Stay tuned for more information!

Reach Holistic Renovations

In addition to the new sober living homes, we are focused on the development of Reach Holistic Renovations Substance Abuse Clinic, a long-term substance abuse clinic that will offer multiple levels of care to serve southwest Michigan. While the clinic is in its early stages, a facility such as this is in significant demand so we are hitting the gas pedal as much as possible and will keep the supporters of Reach abreast of its milestones.

RSL Transportation, LLC

We are pleased to announce that RSL Transportation LLC has come to fruition. This non-medical transportation service is designed to ensure that individuals’ addiction recovery begins and ends successfully. RSL Transportation provides high-caliber supervision for an addicted person to treatment with a peer or recovery coach escort. This creates an ease of transition and peace of mind for everyone involved in these difficult first steps of the addiction recovery process. We realize that the needs of each individual client are unique and that in some situations, it is imperative to place a client with a qualified sober transporter. RSL can be utilized via an app and will be a valuable tool to many.
